Maximum payouts
For the purposes of this Clause: “Winning the Operator Player” means any person -
(i) who is resident in South Africa; and (ii) who has a betting account with the Operator or any Lottoland South Africa Group Company via any of the Group Websites, and
(iii) who has placed a winning fixed odds bet with the Operator on the outcome of an Underlying Lottery, which qualifies for a prize in the Type A and/or Type B prize category, as listed in Clause 11.1 of these Terms and Conditions.
The Operator guarantees that it will, at a minimum, place every Winning the Operator Player in the same economic position as if he/she had placed a bet into the Underlying Lottery itself.
To ensure that this happens, the Operator will always apply the payout rules of the relevant Underlying Lottery (and will always apply exactly the same deductions and payout table as the operator of the relevant Underlying Lottery) in determining amounts payable to Winning the Operator Players.
This means that the Operator will pay out to any Winning the Operator Player –
(i) the full Type A or Type B prize (as the case may be) advertised by the operator of the Underlying Lottery, when the Winning the Operator Player is the outright winner (i.e. in any case where there are no other Type A or Type B prize winners (as the case may be), whether any such player(s) played directly into the Underlying Lottery or placed a bet with the Operator or any other Group Website);
(ii) one-half of the relevant advertised prize amount, where there is one other Type A or Type B prize winner (as the case may be), whether that player played directly into the Underlying Lottery or placed a bet with the Operator or any other Group Website;
(iii) one-third of the relevant advertised prize amount, where there are two other Type A or Type B prize winners (as the case may be), whether those players played directly into the Underlying Lottery or placed a bet with the Operator or any other Group Website;
(iv) such other prize amounts as may be determined by the total number of prize winners in the relevant prize category, based on the same formula applied in (i) through (iii) above.
Please note that all the above-mentioned payout values will be made in the equivalent Rand value.
In the event of only one Operator Winning Bet, and this being in respect of a Player that is a resident of South Africa betting via the Website, in any given Prize Category for a Betting Event, the total of all Winnings payable by the Operator to such Player per Prize Category for a certain Betting Event must never exceed the numbers as set out below.:
