EURODREAMS - WHAT IS IT?
EuroDreams, an exciting annuity-style lottery, offers lottery fans the chance to score big payouts paid out over a prolonged period rather than all at once.
While EuroMillions continues to amaze with its colossal payouts, EuroDreams operates independently as a separate gaming experience. In this enthralling numbers game, individuals from several European countries compete for the amazing top payout to be paid out in regular instalments spread across a 30-year timeline.
To participate, players must select 6 numbers ranging from 1 to 40, in addition to a Dream Number between 1 and 5. With EuroDreams, the thrill of the lottery just got more enticing.

THE EURODREAMS JACKPOT
This is a one-of-a-kind lotto, with countries from all over Europe collaborating to make this one of the biggest annuity-style lotteries in the world. The EuroDreams lottery delivers an array of astounding payouts, disbursed monthly over an extended period.
Here's a breakdown of the confirmed payout distribution:
FIRST CATEGORY
R400,000 per month for an impressive 30 years, with a potential allocation for up to 3 fortunate winners.
SECOND CATEGORY
A monthly award of R40,000 for a span of 5 years, catering to a maximum of 12 winners.
THIRD CATEGORY
A generous 2.13% share from the payout pool, encompassing the 3rd to 5th payout categories.
FOURTH CATEGORY
A substantial 34.24% slice of the payout pool also stemming from the 3rd to 5th payout categories.
FIFTH CATEGORY
A significant 63.63% portion of the payout pool extended across the 3rd to 5th payout categories.
SIXTH CATEGORY
An assured amount of R50
The allocation for the "3rd through 5th category payout pool" is determined by deducting the Reserve Fund for the 1st and 2nd categories, along with the amount earmarked for 6th category payouts, from the overall payout pool.
In the scenario of exceeding 3 winners in the first category or 12 winners in the second category, the entire payout fund for each category will be equitably distributed among the winners.
Moreover, the first category has a cap of €21.6 million (R434.9 million) per draw, allocated among a maximum of three winners. If the limit is surpassed, the payout will be divided equally among all the winners.
Similarly, the second category is restricted to €1.44 million (R29 million) per draw, distributed proportionally among a maximum of twelve winners in the case of an excess. EuroDreams ensures an equitable and thrilling opportunity for all participants.
EURODREAMS DRAW TIME
The lucky draws happen in Paris, with someone making sure everything is fair. You can check the results after 11.25 pm SAST on the same night as the draw, which usually happens around 10 pm SAST every Monday and Thursday.
Just so you know, you can bet on EuroDreams until 9.30 pm SAST on these days, but if you miss it, don't worry; you can bet again at 11 pm SAST for the next draw.
WHICH COUNTRIES CAN BET ON EURODREAMS?
The countries that can bet on EuroDreams are Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain & Switzerland. Thanks to Lottoland, South Africans will also soon have the opportunity to bet on the new lottery.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EURODREAMS AND EUROMILLIONS?
The difference between EuroDreams and EuroMillions is that EuroDreams is an annuity-style lottery. This means that if you win the lottery, you will receive your winnings in monthly instalments rather than a one-lump sum payment like EuroMillions.
Another difference is that EuroDreams is not available in the UK, whereas EuroMillions is. However, EuroDreams is still available in all the other countries where EuroMillions takes place. The UK is the only exception.
Also, when betting on EuroDreams, you bet on 6 main numbers + 1 Dream Number. This is different from EuroMillions, where you bet on 5 main numbers + 2 Lucky Stars. So, the gameplay is slightly different.

EuroMillions remains one of the biggest jackpots in Europe. However, a beneficial difference between EuroDreams and EuroMillions is the draw days.
As the EuroDreams lottery takes place on Mondays and Thursdays, and EuroMillions takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays. This means you can enjoy both lotteries without missing either one!
EURODREAMS SUPER DRAW!
Since its launch in November 2023, EuroDreams has proved to be a winner amongst punters. So much so, in fact, that the powers to be in EuroDreams HQ have decided that the time is right for a new Super Draw to be introduced!
So, what’s changing? Well, the headline-grabbing change comes in the top payout tier. In standard bets, matching all the numbers would net the winner a guaranteed payout of €20,000 (R400,000) a month for 30 years. When the Super Draw rolls around, this will be increased to €30,000 (R600,000), meaning a total payout of €10.8 million (R220 million)!
While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, there are also set to be changes to the lower payout tiers as well. In particular, the third payout tier is expected to increase significantly.
WHEN IS THE NEXT EURODREAMS SUPER DRAW?
The next EuroDreams Superdraw is planned to take place on Thursday, 2 October 2025. Following this, there are expected to be 2-3 Super Draws each year, giving South African punters plenty of opportunity to get involved!
REDEFINING EUROPEAN LOTTERIES
As the excitement builds for the EuroDreams launching on Lottoland, the anticipation is undeniable. With its unique concept of disbursing substantial payouts over an extended period, EuroDreams has already become a worthwhile addition to the European lotteries scene.
This revolutionary annuity-style lottery not only offers the chance to win substantial payouts but also introduces a refreshing twist to traditional gameplay.
**Currency conversion calculation will be based on the ZAR/Euro exchange rate on the day.
