WHAT IS A EUROMILLIONS SUPERDRAW?
A EuroMillions Superdraw is a special grand prize which is boosted to guarantee a 9-figure payout. This happens only a few times a year. Apart from the size of the grand prize, there is no difference between a Superdraw and a regular EuroMillions draw as all the rules remain the same. That means that if a Superdraw is not won, it rolls over and continues to increase.
WHEN IS THE NEXT EUROMILLIONS SUPERDRAW?
The EuroMillions Superdraw 2022 has been announced to take place on Friday 17th June. The main prize will be set at €130 million (R2.2 billion*).
A Superdraw had been scheduled for Friday 29th April. However, this draw had was not carried out due to the fact that the payout naturally reached €158.7 million (R2.7 billion*), which was greater than the planned grand prize of €130 million (R2.2 billion*).
Below are the dates of the second Superdraw of the year from the previous five years. Note in 2017 the first Superdraw of the year was held in June and in 2018 the first Superdraw was held in April. The amount of draws per year and the dates of the draws can vary from year to year.

The last EuroMillions Superdraw took place on Friday 4th of February 2022. This was the first Superdraw of the year. A single ticket purchased in the UK won €130 million (R2.3 billion)* on the night of the draw.
The previous EuroMillions draw that took place was on Friday 3 December 2021. The grand prize was set at €130 million (R2.2 billion)*. There was no winner on the night so the payout rolled over and was won on the following draw, which took place on Tuesday 7 December. The winning ticket was sold in Spain with a payout of €143.5 million (R2.4 billion)*.
Prior to September 2021, the previous EuroMillions Superdraw took place on the 4th of June 2021, the grand prize was also €130 million (R2.2 billion)* and was won by a single ticket in the UK on the first time round.
Before that, another grand prize worth €130 million (R2.2 billion) was up for grabs in the first Superdraw of 2021 in February. After several attempts, a Swiss tipster finally hit the mark and cleared the maximum of €210 million (R3.5 billion)* on the 26th of February which set a new record that remained until the new record of €220 million (R3.8 billion)* was won in France.
